My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sherlock is a very very very handsome and intelligent young dog of only around one year old who is hot on the trail to find his new adoptive family. He is definitely a dachshund (probably mixed with a Basset Hound when you see his front paws) and quite the gorgeous one at that. It's hard to understand how a beautiful very young boy like him ended up in a shelter, with a collar on no less. But, it was our privilege to rescue him.

Sherlock is so very sweet and gentle and gets along great with dogs of all sizes in his foster home. He was even a great "big brother" to a couple of litters of pups at his foster home, checking on them and even sleeping right next to their pen to make sure they were ok.

Sherlock is great on lead and loves going for walks. He is even great in the car. Though it was easy to tell he had no idea what a crate was, he figured out pretty quickly that it's a good thing and now sleeps through the night in it. To top off all of his great traits, it appears Sherlock is house-trained too.
