JJ Swatt's Story...
My name is "JJ" and I am about 1 1 /2 year old Lhaso Apso. I was found by a family as a stray but they took me in and got Buster's Friends to take me in to their program. I am a handsome happy boy. I do get a little scared at first but once I know you I am ok - just scared after being all alone on the street all by myself. I don't really like crates but deal with it if I have to. I am ok with other dogs. Don't you want to take me home? I only weigh about 10 lbs.

He is 1.5 years old, 10 pounds, updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $125.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JJ Swatt, a Houston Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Houston, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
