Zeke's Story...
Zeke is an 8yr. old docked and cropped red male Doberman that has been living with one of our board members since his rescue from a horrible situation last summer. Zeke is in fact a champion Doberman that was basically stolen for breeding purposes and kept for years in a rural compound. Zeke is an Uber-Doberman (Super Doberman), he has some separation anxiety and would do best with a VERY active home where he gets a lot of attention. He is dominant and strong and still very vital and energetic.

Our board member that has cared for him all these months has had some work changes and has realized that her schedule is such that Zeke is not getting enough of what he needs...attention and exercise. This boy had a number of years of terrible living conditions so we really want the best for him as he enters his senior years. We will be very picky about his next home.

If you are experienced with Dobermans and would like to adopt this beautiful example of the breed, please fill out an on-line application at or e-mail Don at for more information on Zeke.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeke, a Albuquerque Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Albuquerque, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Albuquerque.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albuquerque already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albuquerque breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albuquerque paves the way for another one to be saved.
