Dodger's Story...
Bio Update 6/28/13: Dodger is just a joy to have in my home. His face is just cuter than cute. He is taller than most yorkies but his body is small. He is 14 lbs and very active. Up to date on all shots, HW negative, chipped, on monthly HW meds. Dodger loves to play catch, though he usually catches the ball and runs. He likes squeaky toys, his blankets and is very playful. Dodger is a loving dog with adults, with kids and with cats. He is ready for his forever home. Dodger came from a very good home but to no fault of his, he was surrendered. He knows how to sit, stay and he listens when I talk to him tilting his head back and forth trying to figure out what I'm saying.

Dodger will do better in a home where he doesn't stay in a crate all day. He does sleep in a crate at night but prefers not to be in it at all. He is waiting for someone out there who has time for a wonderfully active dog to fill out an application and take him home.

Initial Bio 05/31/13: Dodger is a 6 year old, 15 pound male Yorkie. He was surrendered by his owner because he was not getting the attention he needed. More info on Dodger as we get to know him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dodger, a Visa Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Visa, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Visa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Visa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Visa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Visa paves the way for another one to be saved.
