Simone's Story...
My name is Simone and I was rescued from a kill shelter with my two sisters Lena and Nikka by the good folks at Feral Cat Rescue. We were only 5 weeks old at that time and had no mother to care for us so it was a miracle that they found us. I am shy at first but it doesn't last long :) I am very loveable and love to snuggle. I love to nest in my foster mom's hair and purr away and my little "motor" is loud :)) We are 15 weeks old now and ready to be adopted. We have been combo tested, de-wormed and got our first distemper shot. We also have been spayed, vaccinated against rabies, micro chipped and got all three distemper boosters.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simone, a Great Mills Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Great Mills, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Great Mills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Mills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Mills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Mills paves the way for another one to be saved.
