Olive's Story...

OLIVE was born in early April 2013 and was brought into the Merit Pit Bull Foundation with her mom when they were found as strays in Greensboro. Olive is a laid back girl. She loves her foster brothers and sisters and likes to wrestle and play, but is equally content to play with her toys by herself. She is also a big snuggler...and with that sweet little wrinkled face, who could resist?
Olive knows how to sit and is working on lay down and stay. She is doing very well with her potty training and crate training. As long as she has enough exercise, she will go in the crate at night, settle down after just a few minutes, and is starting to sleep all the way through the night. Olive has met her foster family's cat and they have done well together. She is also playful and friendly with dogs and people (including kids)!
This dog's adoption fee is $175. If you are interested in adopting, please email us at All dogs receive the following prior to adoption: Distemper/Parvo Vaccine, Rabies Vaccination, Heartworm Test & Treatment (if needed), Spay/Neuter, and Microchip. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olive, a Greensboro American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
