BARNABUS's Story...
BARNABUS is an adult male Russian Blue with a medium coat who is approximately 8 years old. We rescued in partnership with Animal Alliance after he was housed as a stray in the OC Shelter over 6 weeks. At pick up, he tested FIV positive, however, he exhibits no symptoms. His teeth do need cleaning but both teeth and gums are strong/clear. If we had been a member of the public, he would have been euthanized immediately. BARNABUS is laid back, follows directions, purrs, plays and loves to be cuddled. We are committed to finding him a perfect match! Neutered, FVRCP, Rabies, Defleaed/Dewormed; Micro-chip. He is shown on the weekends and by appointment at Petsmart Brea on Imperial Hwy. Call Judith 714-878-1371 to ask questions/set appt; or, pick up a Pet Adoption Application on the podium. The adoption donation fee is $100 cash includes all vet records, coupon book, and free gifts.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BARNABUS, a Brea Russian Blue cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Russian Blue for sale in Brea, or seeking a Russian Blue cat from a breeder in Brea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Russian Blue breeders who help with Russian Blue rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brea paves the way for another one to be saved.
