My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The tragedies across America continue to happen every day to our citizens and to our beloved pets. The tragedies of death, and families who no longer can care for the innocent pets left behind is staggering and painful. Trixie is one of those sad statistics and what makes it harder is that she is a 9 year old Australian Shepherd girl that is now in her twilight years. She now has to start all over and beg for someone to give her love and devotion for her last years of life. Her years could be many, but not the 12-15 that you have at the start of a dog’s life. She is a gorgeous and angelic girl that is black and white with a naturally docked tail. She weighs about 65 lbs. Trixie's owner passed away and left her, another dog, and 7 cats behind. She was left on her own for a few weeks after her owner passed and fortunately some kind neighbors fed her until she was rescued. She is ok with most dogs but since she is older, she prefers not to be bothered. She loves to follow you around the yard and hang out with you while you work in your garden. Trixie is a sweet, low energy dog happy to sleep on the porch until you come home. This girl deserves a happier ending to these last 4-5 years that we know she has. Please give Trixie a place on the porch and a place in your heart! ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
