Fannie Mae's Story...
Fannie Mae is a 2-3 year old mix weighing about 30lbs. She was found sitting on the side of a road by her self. She was there for a few hours and when her rescuer saw her again stopped and picked her up. It was obvious that she had been someones dog. She was severely over weight, already spayed, house trained and went straight to the doggie bed when she got her home. Pictures and posters were posted around the closest town to where Fannie Mae and been found but no one claimed her. Fannie Mae is heart worm positive. She has started her treatment and is doing very well. She loves all people, dogs and even dog savy cats. She loves water and will seek it out for a swim. Adoption fee is $275 which includes transport to the North East. for any questions about Fannie Mae please email kegrescuefoster71@yahoo.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fannie Mae, a Glastonbury Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Glastonbury, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Glastonbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glastonbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glastonbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glastonbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
