Hawke's Story...
My story: Sweet little Hawke came to St. Francis with his eyes so gooped up and infected they were sealed shut. We have been treating his eyes and they have improved a great deal, but the doctors think he will most likely have a sight impairment. He does not let that hold him back - what he lacks in sight, he makes up for in spirit and spunk! He is ready to go go go , even if you have to point him in the direction he is going! His look alike brother, Ambrose, is right there to help him out, saying "this way, little bro!" and along they go together to see what kind of fun they can stir up! Once his eyes are cleared up, Hawke will be looking for his forever home, preferably with his brother and best friend Ambrose!
Good with Cats: Yes | Good with Dogs: Yes | Good with Children: Unknown

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hawke, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
