Mocha's Story...
Mocha is a 3 ½ year old Neutered Male Cocker Spaniel – Dachshund Cross. He is housebroken and will alert when he need to go out side. He is a great watch dog and will tell you when someone is home! We were told he does great around children as young as toddlers!! He is also good with cats, dogs, and chickens. He is content hanging out with people but also does ok alone at home and is not destructive. Mocha is polite and leash trained. He was turned into the shelter because his owner could not physically care for him any longer.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mocha, a McIntosh Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund for sale in McIntosh, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund dog from a breeder in McIntosh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McIntosh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McIntosh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McIntosh paves the way for another one to be saved.
