My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tayte is an 8 year old Pekingese and Tara is a 6 year old Pekingese soon to be 7. Tayte and Tara lost their human back in March; they were left home alone for just over a month while she was in the hospital and then she passed away. The neighbor was coming into walk and feed them, but they were essentially by themselves for that time. They lived with an older woman and were not around other people or dogs much. Since they have been with us, they have really grown and have learned to be around people and they get along great with their foster brother Jasper. They have become very affectionate with us, and Tayte is a big mush and loves belly rubs. These two must stay together as they have been never been apart. A home with children over 12 or no children at all and a fenced in yard as they love being outside would be great. They are both good on a leash, however as much as Tara loves the outdoors, she would prefer to have the freedom to just roam in her own fenced in yard rather than walking in the street. They are both house broken, although Tara will sometimes prefer a wee wee pad. They have become very playful and have their individual funny quirks.
