Here's what the humans have to say about me:
August update: Rocky is thriving at one of our favorite doggy day cares and he just loves the other dogs. Sometimes he needs a reminder that not all dogs want to be his best friend right away but he's getting there. He is learning manners in class with his foster mom, and he is in Heaven having dog buddies to play with all the time. He is filling out and weighs about 60 lbs now. He does not enjoy sharing food with other dogs so is fed separately but has no food issues with humans. If you are looking for a bouncy sweetheart, Rocky may just be your guy!
Rocky is a boxer mix and 9 months old (as of early June). He weighs 65 lbs and will fill out some more so he's for big-boy lovers! Rocky loves everyone he meets and is good with dogs and cats. He loves children but doesn't realize how big he is so he may knock down little ones in his enthusiasm. He was found at a festival and rescued by a good samaritan. When they tracked down the owners they didn't want him; they had just let him go and he made his way to the festival, obviously a people-friendly guy!
He is with our southern rescue partners but we'd love to get him north and into a loving foster or forever home as soon as we can.
To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org.
Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
