Athena's Story...
Here's our little angel...Athena!! Athena loved having her picture taken and our awesome photographer, loved dressing her up too! Athena is part of the "Scioto 5" group from the Scioto County Shelter. She is just a small girl at 31 lbs and is a Yellow Lab mix. She is so, incredibly loving!!!!! Athena is just a year old and very playful and happy. Sorry, we don't know how she would be with cats.

Athena's adoption fee is $200 and covers the cost of her spay, vaccines, preventative medications, microchip and 30 day free trial pet insurance.

We are a 501c3 non profit organization and your adoption fee is a tax deductible contribution.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Delaware Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Delaware, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Delaware.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delaware already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delaware breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delaware paves the way for another one to be saved.
