Pepper's Story...
Who needs salt when you can have me, Pepper! Why not sprinkle a little bit of me on this sandwich we call life! For being only 5 months old I am pretty mild mannered. Hey, I even keep my crate clean at night. How many 5 month olds do you know that can say that? I don’t know if anyone told you but I am almost completely blind. But shucks, I can see light and shadows and gosh darn it I get around pretty well. I love to play with other dogs, and if you have a home with kids and cats I would sure love a chance to play with them too! What do ya say! Give me a chance! My adoption fee is $200 and includes; spay, 5 week training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free vet exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area), leash/collar, toy & treat pack, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper, a Portland Labrador Retriever/English Springer Spaniel puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/English Springer Spaniel for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/English Springer Spaniel puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/English Springer Spaniel breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/English Springer Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
