PUPPY ROCKET's Story...
My name is Rocket but my friends call me "Roc". I am a 15 week old male puppy and my parents were probably German Shepherd/Lab or Border Collie mix. Don't you love my stand up ears!? I came to my foster home kind of shy but my foster mom says that I am just one of the family members now! I have a soft, black, shiny coat with a white tummy. I am very athletic and love to play with my foster sisters in the back yard. I also love to play with kids! My foster mom says that I am very gentle and calm and my vet said I have a GREAT temperament. I am working hard and almost house trained so I will make a great inside pet for my forever family. I get to sleep on the floor next to my foster mom at night in my very own bed and she said that I am doing great, and I go right to bed when she tells me to. I really want to do the right thing and I definitely know the word "no" but I am a puppy and still need help from time to time making the right decisions. My foster mom told me that I am such a good boy and she is going to miss me when I find my forever home. I am around lots of other dogs and kids and
people and even would be good with a cat right now. I just want to be friends with the whole wide world! I will probably grow up to be about 45 pounds as an adult, maybe a little more. They say that this will be the totally perfect size for a great family companion and lay at your feet kind of dog. Let's have some fun getting to know each other this summer and have me as your forever Best friend! ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PUPPY ROCKET, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
