Lacy's Story...
Lacey was originally found hanging out in an empty field near a busy road by our volunteers. She had a rope hanging from her neck and had just had puppies. Her puppies were nowhere to be found and Lacey was so glad to be around people, she wouldn't leave our volunteers side. We think she was dumped in the area. Lacey was placed in a foster home where she learned how to be a good inside dog and was adopted about a year ago. We recently received a call from the Humane Society saying that one of our dogs had been turned into the shelter. They scanned her for a micro chip and it came back to us thankfully. We immediately got her out and she is now up for adoption once again. Honey has had a very rough start to her life so far and we want to make sure she finds a home that will commit to her for the long run. She is beautiful and is a great dog! She has a lot of energy and loves going for walks and playing fetch. She was turned into Humane because she didn't get along with the owners small dog. Lacey does well with other medium or large sized dogs but should not go to a home with small dogs. Since she has a lot of energy she should also be in a home with children over five.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lacy, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
