My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Devon. I am a very special cat. I'm very good looking with a bright brown tabby coat. I'm so happy I have short hair and a long lean body. My picture makes me look fat, but I'm really quite svelte! My mommy cat was a loner and lived on the streets. She met my dad, who left her pregnant and alone. Then my human friend found me and took us all in after I was born. Thank goodness for that! But, she had waaay too many cats, so it was time for me to go live with the people at Helping Persian Cats. Good grief, those Persians are so different from me! They barely know how to climb, with their short stubby legs! And lazy? Don't get me started. I'm an active kitty, and very agile. I'm not much of a talker, at least not quite yet. I need to get to know you first before I engage in conversation! I absolutely love to be petted. That's my absolute favorite thing, and my coat is smooth and silky. The only thing I don't like at all, is being picked up. Please, please don't pick me up! It scares me so much. I'm afraid of heights when someone is holding me. I guess a lot of cats don't like being picked up, even the Persians don't like it! I'm good with other cats, but I don't think kids would like me because I would be very upset if they wanted to pick me up. Just being honest. Anyway, I think I'm quite unique, and quite the catch. Come and meet me when you have a chance. Maybe we can talk about it!
