Sandy's Story...
Sandy is a happy, energetic 1 1/2 year old girl. She weighs about 45 lbs., and loves to play with other dogs. Sandy is crate trained, and considers herself a lap dog, and loves to snuggle. Sandy also loves to eat. Her ideal home would have at least one other dog for a playmate, and a fenced in yard. All of CARE's dogs are in foster homes or boarding, so if you would like more information, or would like to arrange a time to meet them, please e-mail carescfoster@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on our web site: www.caresouthcoast.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a New Bedford Pug/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Labrador Retriever for sale in New Bedford, or seeking a Pug/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in New Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pug/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
