My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ShyAnn is an adorable little girl, the newest in "designer" dog breeds... the Labra-Hound ;-). Yes, Lone Star is a pure bred Labrador rescue, but we simply could not walk away from her sad little face when we were asked to rescue Shy from a local shelter. The shelter staff had fallen in love with her and we can see why.

ShyAnn is about 2 years old and a very petite 45 pounds. Shy has clearly had a rough past without much love or attention. She was scared to death of everything and would not even walk when we first rescued her. We can promise you that we are making up for lost time now! ShyAnn is blossoming in her foster home. She is gentle, well behaved and house broken. She is very scared of being crated, so right now she stays in a bathroom. Shy would love a home where someone is home much of the day, so that she doesn't have to be confined. Shy gets along very well with the other dogs in the house and ignores the family cats.

Shy was very underweight when she was found, but she is slowly putting on weight. She is spayed, healthy and on heartworm prevention. ShyAnn just had a final check up at the vet and got a clean bill of health!

Shy is looking forward to finding her new home. Right now, she loves to play and romp with Mickey, who is her foster brother. She comes running to her mom and curls up in her lap for some love and pets when playtime is over. ShyAnn will be a loving, gentle companion for a lucky family!
