Kia's Story...
Sweet Kia was found abandoned in the forest. She had wounds all over her body and had likely been attacked by something. Kia was SO lucky that a wonderful FOR volunteer found her and brought her to safety. She has been seen by our vet and has recovered beautifully. She adores everyone and everything. She loves to play with people, other dogs or even just throwing toys for herself. Kia loves to fetch and is working on the 'drop it' command. She is housebroken and just an all around wonderful dog. She is even gentle with her stuff animals, carrying them around but never tearing them up. Kia loves to go for rides in the car, loves going to Petsmart and the dog park. She would make a wonderful addition to almost any home! She is spayed, current on all vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and current on all vaccines. Please email us at for more information on applying to adopt Kia! She is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kia, a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
