Betsy~Prison Obedience Trained's Story...
Betsy is a true miracle and her trainer say "she is truly the sweetest dog he has ever trained"! Found on center lane of a 4 lane busy highway by a Almost Home Member July of 2012. She had a broken leg, hip and distemper. That was the past and Betsy has only blue skys ahead she just needs her forever family. She is one special kid and needs a special family that has a lot of love to give! Part of her training is house manners, potty skills, sit, stay, roll over, shake with both hands.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betsy~Prison Obedience Trained, a Hazard Bluetick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound for sale in Hazard, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Hazard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazard paves the way for another one to be saved.
