Linus's Story...
This incredibly handsome boy is Linus, a 7 year old English bulldog that came to us from our Newark facility in search of a great new home. Linus was picked up as a stray, and no one ever came looking for this mushy angel. Linus is just an all-around great guy. He is incredibly easy-going, gentle, laid back and lovable. He is incredibly well behaved and walks perfectly on a leash. Linus prefers a long, leisurely stroll to the rough and tumble type of play. While in our exercise yard, he is content to roam around sniffing, and checking things out, then he'll find a nice shady spot under a tree and lay down for a bit. He is really, that nice. Linus also gets along beautifully with everyone, and wouldn't mind a calm dog to pal around with. He doesn't show much interest in cats either. This perfect pooch is hoping for a comfortable and cozy home with a loving family. Please make his dreams come true! File#22525 6/12/13

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Linus, a Forked River English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in Forked River, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
