Meyer's Story...
I’m Meyer, maybe you saw my pretty face on the news? I’m rescue from the recent hoarding situation in SE Portland. Myself and 64 of my poodle friends were living in deplorable conditions, quite neglected, then finally rescued … Now, after 2 years I have hope… Hope that a loving person will adopt me, sweep me off of my feet and take me away to a home of my own. One with other pets would be fine by (just not 65 of them, ok!) I have a great hope that a big-hearted, patient, understanding person will take me for who I am—a victim of neglect who is ready for a new life…2 years old-18lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; microchip, neuter, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meyer, a Portland Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
