Mama was the last cat trapped at a "closed" trailer court in Council Bluffs. She always stayed down by the lake or in one of the vacant trailers, she started coming to "Mama" and it took a month and a half to bait trap her. She has a big distrust of people so we don't know where her previous owners went or why she was left behind. She is around 5-6 yrs old, and has some old scar tissue on one eye. She has been living inside for 8 months and seems to be used to it. She uses her potty box all the time and likes treats of canned food daily. She tolerates dogs and chases other cats out of her room.
She plays with cat toys when you're not looking, likes to look out the windows, and "talks" like she's lonely sometimes. She likes to be petted and brushed "most" of the time, but she gets nervous and will "smack" you sometimes! I wish I knew her history, but it is like she wants to be a good girl, but just doesn't trust. I promised her a home... now someone help my promise come true for her! She doesn't really show any interest to go back outside, but that is an option if it's the right situation.
Mama loves cat nip and laying on her foster mom's chest.
