Desiree, is a smart, happy and playful 12 week old puppy. Her mom (Dierdra, in the "available POET dogs" album) is a mountain cur mix. We believe dad was a lab or vizsla. She loves to just be near you. She's easily entertained with toys, sticks and bugs! She's doing well with basic commands such as sit, lay down and coming when she is called. Still working on stay. She's pretty well potty trained although she still has accidents, so as long as she has a close eye she should do great. Since she is only 11 weeks old she would greatly benefit with someone being with her the majority of the day, but she is getting acclimated to a kennel nicely. She is a quick learner, a little love bug and loves everybody. She would do wonderful in any household!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Desiree, a Garden City Mountain Cur puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mountain Cur for sale in Garden City, or seeking a Mountain Cur puppy from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mountain Cur breeders who help with Mountain Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
