Alexis's Story...
Hi! My name is Alexis. I am a 3yr old, medium sized, Standard Schnauzer mix. I was saved from euthanasia on June 6th. I was dropped off as a stray at OC Animal Care and my family never came for me. I have been a great rescue pet at The Pet Rescue Center since I arrived. I am quiet, well behaved and I always greet with a happy tail. I am told that I am the perfect size! I am far from a “small dog”, but too short to be a “large dog”. I would do well in many homes and lifestyles. I get along with kids and don’t mind if you have other pets. I’d really be happy to find a lap to lay on and someone to keep me company. If you are looking for an easy fit, here I am! Come meet me!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alexis, a Mission Viejo Standard Schnauzer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standard Schnauzer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a Standard Schnauzer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standard Schnauzer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Standard Schnauzer/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
