Tess's Story...
If ever there was a great little Weim, I can tell you, I am it! I am a beautiful Blue girl, on the small side, with gold eyes. I am housebroken, crate trained (though I can be left out without doing anything wrong), and know commands. I am so good, I can be taken outside off leash! I previously lived with two small dogs and have been around cats without a problem, and currently live with 8 other big dogs and love them all. I am very submissive and my previous owner said she never even heard me growl at anybody or any thing! If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my foster mother in Sarasota at melanie.lehmann@bdrr.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tess, a Sarasota Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
