Maggie's Story...
Maggie came to the shelter as a stray. I don't know where she came from but I find it very hard to believe that her owners haven't come to find her. She is the SWEETEST little baby!!! When Irene from the shelter and I took her on the leash outside on Saturday, Maggie walked like a pro on the leash. She went outside and knew exactly what she wanted!! A BELLY RUB!!! She just rolled over and closed her eyes like she was saying..."This is my lucky day!". She is so well behaved!! She sits on command! She would be the most AWESOME house dog!! I wanted to take her home with me. I felt so bad when we had to put her back in her kennel. But, even after we did, she sat patiently while we got other dogs out of their kennels. She just looked at me and wagged her tail like she KNEW I would help find her a home and she would be waiting there for her new owners. If I had to guess, Maggie is about 3 years old. Please give this girl a chance!! If you can't give her a home, please pass on this e mail to help her find her FOREVER home!! She truly deserves it!!!!!

PLEASE call the shelter to save Maggie!!!! 502-633-0009!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Shelbyville Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Shelbyville, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Shelbyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shelbyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shelbyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shelbyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
