SAMPSON's Story...
These poor babies needs help from some angel or angels. Samson is about 8 weeks old and came in with his brother, Sammie. Unfortunately, Sammie tested positive for a skin condition called sarcoptic mange (a.k.a.scabies, or microscopic mites). More than likely, Samson has this condition as well (although he was not tested). Treatment consists of daily medication and weekly injections (given by the vet most likely). The point is- it IS treatable. Just look at their faces- they didn't ask for this. Finding an adoptive home for pups is hard enough, but ones with problems.... well they need miracles! Samson also appears to have something wrong with his right wrist. It does not seem to bother him, so it may just be an injury that will heal with time. If you can help in any way (foster, sponsor, etc), please come forward. They are in dire need of assistance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SAMPSON, a Marion Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marion, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
