My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Romeo is a gorgeous 2 year old merle male with natural ears. He's a happy, playful Dane, who loves attention, but knows his manners. He had rough start in life, bouncing from home to home before ending up at a shelter, and now he just wants relatively calm, stable home where he can be the Velcro Dane he was meant to be. Romeo has good leash manners, and is house trained (though he will counter surf if given the opportunity). He is also crate trained. He has lived with cats in the past, and reportedly got along well with them. He was turned into the shelter with a note that he doesn't do well with small dogs. He did fine when introduced to small dogs on a leash, but for now, we'll place him only with medium-to-large dogs. He gets along great with the mastiffs in his foster home. He does get a little concerned if they play rough and will try to intercede. In his forever home, Romeo would prefer to live with a more laid-back buddy – he would also do fine as an only dog. Romeo loves to meet adults (even the vet!), but he is a bit nervous around younger kids. He's fine after a slow introduction, but is most comfortable in the company of adults. Romeo is looking for a moderately active home, where he can play a bit, and get lots of love and attention.
