Lovebug's Story...
Lovebug is a Mastiff-x. She came into the shelter through Animal Control in May. She is about 4 months old. Lovebug is currently in foster care. Her foster mom reports that Miss Bug gets along well with other dogs, loves kids, is very playful, but gentle. She is not a fan of cats and tries to chase them. She likes to be cradled, but when she gets older and bigger, that is probably going to be a bit more difficult, although I'd love a photo in about 6 months of her being cradled in her owners arms.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lovebug, a Plano Mastiff puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Plano, or seeking a Mastiff puppy from a breeder in Plano.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plano already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plano breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plano paves the way for another one to be saved.
