Bambi's Story...
This adorable little lady is Bambi, a 6 year old Chihuahua that came to us from our Newark facility in search of a wonderful new home. This tiny girl was picked up as a stray, and we just can't imagine her out on the city streets all alone, fending for herself. Bambi is a petite pup that quite quiet and shy when you meet her. Bambi may look like she's afraid, but as soon as she sniffs and checks you out, she will stand on her hind legs to crawl in your lap or get you to pick her up. She is very cuddly and affectionate, but she doesn't need to be overwhelmed with affection, and would prefer to have quiet and cozy time with you just petting her. She is just so sweet and perfect, and very well behaved too. She walks perfectly on a leash and has excellent manners. Bambi would do well with a quiet, easy going dog or a relaxed, dog-friendly cat, but would prefer a home with no children under the age of 12. This adorable little princess is so eager to start life over again with a loving family....please make her dreams come true! 6/12/13 File#22527

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bambi, a Forked River Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
