My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Xander: 5 to 7 yr old seal lynx point Tonkinese / Singapura mix
Fostered in Santa Cruz

This is certainly an unusual kitty. He is a little guy with super short silky fur. He has rich coloring with great rich banding visible on his front legs. He came into the shelter with Anton, the Singapura mix kitten who you can see in the background of some of these photos.
( Anton is the light kitten not the fluffy Maine Coon kid, MacGuyver ) The Singapura part of him may account for his small but muscular size and his short dense fur. The Tonkinese gives him his seal point coloring and deep blue eyes.At least that is what our breed experts are saying. We will never know for sure.

At the shelter his body was rigid with fear and he trembled when he was picked up. He never bit or scratched or tried to get away really but he was certainly not going to be put up for adoption ( and you know what that means ) so I took him. After about three weeks of big round, wary eyes and stiff body language one day he said "Well ok I guess this is going to be alright and here i am" and he showed himself to be a super affectionate lovebug. We were thrilled with him.

He is such an interesting cat. He is so different it is hard to stop staring at him. His beautiful body is very solid and athletic. His fur is silky but very short and dense. His eyes are the deepest blue, of course. And as a seal point he has the rich dark head, feet and tail and the creamy tummy and chest.

Xander now loves to be petted. He seems to like to be captured and squished between your arm and your waist ( as you sit down). he likes all sorts of petting. and cuddling. He now actually is a little demanding of attention. "Hey what about me?" he says when we are petting his kitten roommates.

We don't know him super well yet and will write more when we know him better. He is cat friendly. He knows how to handle kitten energy.
He eats wet and dry and is litterbox perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
