Right from Aruba and into your heart! Sonrisa is an 18 month old female Island Dog from Aruba. She was found with her brother Divi abandoned at the San Nicholaas Water Tower. They were both emaciated and had skin issues. She has been spayed and is up to date with vaccinations! She loves to play and has a lot of energy. A trainer has also been working with her on manners and walking on a leash. She is such a sweet girl and would make a great addition to any family!
Founded in 1992 in West Swanzey, NH, Fast Friends is a state-licensed animal shelter and non-profit organization. We are dedicated to educating the public about the plight of racing greyhounds and finding responsible, loving homes for greyhounds that have failed to qualify at various racetracks around the country.Fast Friends is actively involved with Community Outreach. We offer education and training to the public, community groups, and other animal welfare organizations. We work closely with many young adults that come to us through various community programs. We believe that enriching the lives of those in our community; both humans and animals is an essential part of our mission.
Come Meet Our Pets...
You may visit Fast Friends and meet the greyhounds any day from 11 am-3 pm. You can call 603-355-1556 to let us know when you plan on visiting but it is not mandatory. We are located at 14 West Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446 (Across from Market Basket). You can check out the calendar on our website at www.helpinggreyhounds.org or www.facebook.com/Fast.Friends.Greyhounds to see all of our upcoming events.
Our Adoption Process...
We require all of our potential adopters to fill out an adoption application before a dog can be placed on hold. We are available for adoption consultations every day between 11 am and 3 pm. Arrangements for appointments outside of this time frame will be considered on a case by case basis. Our adoption fee is $350 and includes all vaccinations, spay/neuter, dental cleaning, harness, collar, leash and dental kit. We conduct a home visit before our greyhounds are placed into a home. This may be done prior to the adoption or on the day of the adoption. We will also introduce the greyhound to any other pets in the home at this time.
