Lilly's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. Be sure to contact the foster or organization directly from the information listed below.

Lilly is an adorable 8-year old Domestic Shorthair cat who weighs just 7.3lbs. She is very sweet and affectionate and leans into your hand for more petting and rubs up against you. Lilly has big beautiful eyes and a cute little face and is always happy to see you and give you lots of love. She is a mellow but outgoing and loving girl. She loves to cuddle, and if you pick her up, she gives you a hug. She also loves to sit on the bed with you and hang out.

Lilly is mostly black and white, but also has some dark, chocolate brown mixed in with her black markings and some brown shades on her feet. Lilly is usually pretty quiet and when she does talk, she has a sweet little meow.

Lilly is an indoor only cat and is fully litter box trained, spayed, and up to date on all vaccinations. She is a mellow girl who would be great in a quiet home where she can get lots of love and be given a second chance after ending up in a shelter through no fault of her own.

Lilly is available through the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services for an adoption fee of $29 but she is currently living in a foster home in Clairemont. You can fill out an adoption application and then visit Lilly in her foster home to see if you'd like to adopt her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Vista Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vista, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
