Dory's Story...
Dory, Nemo and Crash were rescued at a recent spay & neuter clinic in a rural area. We are not exactly sure what breeds they are, we just call them ADORABLE! They were awfully scared when they first arrived as they had never seen a city before, but they are coming around. They are getting tons of love, attention and socialization thanks to our wonderful friends at Sleep Rover! We think they will be on the upper side of medium when they are full grown. They are likely better suited to a quieter home as they are still quite timid and startled by a lot of commotion and noise. If you would like to give one of these cute pups the loving home they deserve, please visit www.poundrescue.com/adoptions/adoption-process to fill out an online application or learn about the process and fees.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dory, a Okotoks Lancashire Heeler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lancashire Heeler for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Lancashire Heeler puppy from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lancashire Heeler breeders who help with Lancashire Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
