Meet King! King came to us when his owner decided he could no longer care for him. He has spent his whole life living in a pen outdoors so everything is new to him. He's still a little on the shy side but is making huge strides in learning to adjust to his new found love and attention. King and Queen are wonderful dogs around 6-7 years. They will take some time to adjust to a new home.  They came from an extreme neglect situation and are doing well with me but still skittish around new situations or people.  It is amazing how resilient animals are!  They were malnourished and living in a pen for years with little human contact.  They love other dogs and will play for hours but will wait to come in the door until the coast is clear of humans.  They do not love the human touch but will tolerate it and show no aggression when touched, just discomfort.   King and Queen will thrive in a calm, quiet household with another dog and lots of love.  King and Queen are very bonded and i fear might regress if separated.Come meet King and give him the home that he deserves. For more information: releashedrescue@gmail.com

About Releashed Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Releashed Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing working dogs from high-kill shelters, rehabilitating those that need training and rehoming them into permanent loving homes.

Releashed Rescue will provide food, shelter, basic necessities, medical treatment including shots and spay or neuter, and work to train any animal going through our program. Our goal is to find the right family to love and care for the animals for their lifetime.

Releashed Rescue has a vision of a world where animals are not killed because they are inconvenient. Instead, we hope to educate the public about pet over-population, spay , neuter, humane treatment of animals and how animals can enrich the lives of people including the elderly, children and those with disabilities.

Our Adoption Process...

The way the adoption works is you complete an application, which we review. If you have had previous pets (like a cat or other dogs) we do a vet check to ensure they are up to date on shots etc. Then the last step is a home visit to basically ensure there are no obvious dangers for the dog in the home. The fee is $300.
