Facts about Roger

  • Breed: American Eskimo Dog Mix
  • Color: White
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Roger, our snow angel. He is a happy-go-lucky, extremely lovable American Eskimo mix. We love Roger! He loves people. The more human contact he has, the better. He also loves treats. (He's our resident treat tester, he does not object to his nickname: Cookie Monster.) He appreciates a good massage and the great outdoors...sometimes together.

Roger has some medical needs that are manageable with the right environment. He has a thyroid abnormality and can have seizures. He requires daily medication to prevent them. The best situation for Roger would be with someone who works from home or a family who always has someone in the house to keep him company. His birthday is 8/15/07.

We really appreciate your wanting to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We offer FREE Vet care for the first 3 weeks after adoption. We also have a great adoption matchmaker who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. Please feel free to submit your application!

Won't you please sponsor this pet? Click the button above. You can give as much or as little as you like. Your donation is tax deductible. Thank you and our furry ones thank you. Each and every animal here is very special to us. We are dedicated to finding each one just the right home. So for some cats and dogs, that means a much longer stay - as sometimes they are not as outgoing, pretty or have as perfect manners as they could. And because we don't "dispose" of them for this, our cost for keeping them healthy and becoming better companions is high.

Our Adoption Process...

The Humane Society of New York does not do "same-day" adoptions. While meeting and interviewing with our adoption director, we will begin the process to see if we have the right pet to match your lifestyle, preferences and personality.
