Ranger's Story...
Ranger is a handsome 6 year old German Shepherd mix that has been bounced around from home to home to no fault of his own! He’s a family man who loves everyone of all ages. Don’t let his age fool you, he is still a puppy at heart. Want to go for a hike? Ranger would love to go with you. Want to take a nap on the couch? Ranger would love to as well! Ranger is here to prove that older dogs can learn new tricks, and has been showing off his obedience skills while here at the shelter. If you’re looking for a dog that can keep up with the family but has outgrown all the quirks of a puppy Ranger would be happy to help! Ranger has been quietly waiting for his new family to come take him home. Ranger is a tidy guy and loves to keep his kennel clean. Ranger will go to his new home neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. Our non-profit D.A.W.G. is graciously paying $100 towards Ranger’s adoption fee since he has been here since the beginning of June.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ranger, a Mission Viejo German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
