Rosie's Story...
Rosie is a 3 y/o female German shepherd/Collie mix. She is about 45 lbs but needs to put on about 5-10 lbs more. Rosie is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She loves to play with her 2 foster brothers. She will play fetch at times but mostly gets the ball and then goes to play by herself. She is working on bringing the ball back. She walks well on a leash and is working on her basic obedience commands. Rosie is crate trained and housebroken. She loves attention and would like a home to call her own. Do you have a place for this young, energetic dog?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Schaumburg German Shepherd Dog/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Collie for sale in Schaumburg, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Collie dog from a breeder in Schaumburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schaumburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schaumburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Collie breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schaumburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
