My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ashley! Ashley is a Mini Eskie girl. Once you read her story, she will break your heart! Ashley and her sister Eskie were saved from a burning house in another state. Sadly during the night, their home caught fire, taking their owner and the only home they had ever known. They were taken to a shelter where Ashley's sister was adopted out without her. This is when our rescue found out about Ashley needing a rescue to help her find a new home. We had Ashley transported to the Chicagoland area, where she is being fostered. Ashley is a very sweet, but a shy girl, somewhat slow to warm up. This is not a surprise with everything she has been through. With patience, she warms up nicely! Ashley is so cute, those big ears and a little tilt of her head, she just melts your heart! Ashley needs a more quiet home, kayos doesn't make her happy. She is not particularly comfortable around kids, but she shows no aggression at all, so a grandparent's home would be nice! Ashley bonds tightly to her main person and we are sure she would love to have someone around more often then not! Long working hours are not recommended. Ashley is fine with other dogs and cats too, but not too playful. She becomes somewhat motherly, some may say bossy, to younger and/or smaller dogs. Ashley is getting better with walking on leash and riding in the car; we suspect she didn't do a lot of that in her previous life. Ashley is really a homebody, very content being home hanging with her favorite person, with a regular routine to follow.
