Meet Charlie Bear! Charlie is an absolutely perfect boy! He is a 5 - 6 year old lab mix. About 53 lbs. There is not one negative thing to say about sweet Charlie. Charlie would love to live inside with his people and go out to play in a securely fenced in yard, Charlie does not potty in the house, he waits to be walked. He loves belly rubs and ear scratches! So far he has completely ignored the cat and loves to play and wrestle with the other dogs at his foster home. He rides well in the car both in and out of a crate. Charlie is a very mild heartworm positive but has been on medication and will be retested soon. If you are looking for the perfect addition to your family sweet Charlie is your man!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Brattleboro Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
