Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kane is very sweet and affectionate 55 lb bulldog mix. He first came to Cedar Farm after his original "owner" was cited for neglect. Poor Kane had been chained at his former home and had not been taken care of. He had been bitten all over his ears and legs by flies and is one of the few dogs that was probably actually thankful to go to the shelter. Kane was adopted to a wonderful family for the past year but as their lives changed their circumstances were not the best for Kane. Kane loves people but also appreciates having his own spot to go to when things get loud, crazy and hectic. He is crate-trained and needs to be with a family that knows and understands that the crate is his haven. For that reason we are looking for a home for Kane that has older (10+ yrs) children and/or bulldog experience. Kane is super-smart and needs to understand the house rules and family-member hierarchy. If that is followed through with, you will have the best dog EVER in Kane!! Kane is incredibly obedient and his first adoptive family tells us they received lots of praise from other folks on Kane's behavior in the home and in public. He is very friendly and enjoys meeting new people. He is quick to give kisses out to whoever wants them! Kane LOVES to take rides in the car and behaves beautifully when traveling. He plays nicely with other dogs but sometimes likes to sit back and watch all of the action. He is not aggressive at all. He will walk by our cats but may chase them if they run.
Kane has a ton of personality and will thrive in a home that will give him lots of love and attention. This boy sure deserves it! He has so much to give!
