Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scrappy is a 6 month old Wire Haired Terrier mix. He loves to play with his toys-squeaky,fuzzy,frog, a deer antler on a rope and a “Kong” squeaky toy and knows them by name. He is crate trained and almost house trained. Scrappy is very high energy and will need a family that can keep up with him. He walks great on leash. If there are kids in the home 10 and over is best for Scrappy. Scrappy would be an awesome agility dog, as he can run and jump like you will not believe. His eagerness to learn and to please makes him extremely easy to train and get along with. He simply has no bad habits!!! You can see from his photos that he is absolutely adorable, and those eyes just beg for loving. He gives back eagerly and endlessly, until he wears himself out and falls fast asleep.
We’re looking for a home with a fenced yard for him so he can really run. A bonus would be older kids to play with and/or another dog.
(An adoption donation of $300 is required.) If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out the CHEW Adoption Application you can find on our website: chewdogrescue.org/Forms.html If you have previously submitted an application form, there is no need to re-apply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks.
