Phoebe's Story...
Phoebe was rescued from the county shelter. She was left in the kennels outside of the shelter over night. Phoebe is about 1 year old. She looks like a pure bred pug except that she doesn't have a smushed face. She is about 17 lbs, and is SO cute! Phoebe has done very well in her foster home. She hasn't had any accidents in the house and is crate trained. She loves to cuddle with you and follow you around the house. She gets along fine with other dogs and is good with cats as well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoebe, a Phoenix Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
