Sylvie's Story...
Hi, my name is Sylvie and I am a gorgeous brown tabby. I am unique in that I have a sprinkling of calico in my coat which people call a Torbie. My name Sylvie means “of the forest” and it suits me well since I look like a Tiger, just in a smaller package. I was born at an Animal Hospital along with my other siblings, Milo and Luna (who are also available for adoption). I have been handled since I was a baby so I am very used to people and noises around me. I love to play on my cat tree and chase my siblings around the room. I am the smaller one of the group but as they say good things often come in small packages. J I love to be held by my human foster mom and she loves me equally as much. My favorite thing in the world is to be scratched under my chin and kissed on my head. It makes me feel loved. Just like my sister Luna, I am very dainty when I eat, because I too am a little lady. J I too have also mastered using the litter box and a kitty scratch post like a pro. My favorite toy in the whole world is a little feather ball that contain a magic jingly thing. My siblings prefer the jingly balls but I love anything with feathers and that includes feather wands. If you would like to meet me or my siblings, please contact FOR at INFO@FORrescue.net for more information about me. I am fostered in Huntsville, AL and look forward to meeting you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sylvie, a Nashville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
