Sheba's Story...
Sheba is a beautiful, extremely healthy, gentle and affectionate, 5-year-old, Belgian Shepherd/Chow who came into the city shelter as a "stray." Sheba is quiet, easy to walk on a leash, great with other dogs, seemingly good around cats and peaceful around children. Sheba is totally housebroken and good in an apartment. Sheba requires moderate exercise and could easily go into almost any situation: Working home in the city or family situation in the country. Sheba is a truly lovely dog and would make a wonderful, companionable addition to any loving, responsible home. If interested in Sheba, please CALL us (NOT email). (212) 427-8273. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheba, a New York Belgian Shepherd/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Belgian Shepherd/Chow Chow for sale in New York, or seeking a Belgian Shepherd/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Belgian Shepherd/Chow Chow breeders who help with Belgian Shepherd/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
