Oso's Story...
Oso is a 9-month-old Welsh Corgi Australian Shepard Mix. He is about 15-20lbs (under weight trying very hard to get him to get weight on him). He is all up to date on his shots and will be neutered. He can be very mellow at times when everyone is relaxing and watching some tv or playing games. You will often catch him underneath the living room table catching some ZZZZ's :0) Oso is not so much of an outside dog but will tolerate being on a lead line to get some running around in and playing with the other dogs. He gets along great with all dogs big or small but is scared of cats. When Oso found his foster family's cat he looked at her then tail and ran for the living room table to lay down. He is a very sweet loving boy who loves to play fetch and tug a war. Heis great around children but he WILL NEED OBEDIENCE CLASS as he is a puppy knows some things but will need a class or two to make a very well off dog :) If you think Oso is the right fit for your family, please complete a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com under the Adopt tab.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oso, a Bellingham Welsh Corgi/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Welsh Corgi/Australian Shepherd for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Welsh Corgi/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Welsh Corgi/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Welsh Corgi/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
