I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Who said an old dog can't learn new tricks? Hi, I'm BENSON. I'm twelve years old, always been around family and was recently surrendered because my family was moving. I was at a foster home with other doggies but got attacked by a youngster, so now I'm at a house with lots of kids and no other pets. I'm a quick learner; I mastered my new surroundings and the doggie door in just 2 days! I even accomplished to sit on command after only a few tries! The kids taught me with treats! I'm a well mannered beagle, my foster mommy lets me roam around freely because I've earned it. With all there is to do in a home with 5 kids, I make sure to be well behaved, so mommy doesn't have to worry about me. I make sure though, to go wherever my folks are, cause I'm a great companion and loooooooove people. I enjoy, watching every one come and go while I lay on the couch or peacefully stare from the floor. Kids are fun, it was funny to see the younger child have a potty accident while I was "Free and clear"... he should learn from me I tell ya! When things get to noisy I will retreat to my kennel. I have big dreamy eyes that will bewitch you. You will rarely hear me bark, unless I'm locked in a kennel, or outside, responding to other noisy pups. You know, with my years and my experience I know what a family is and how to behave at home. If I become part of your family, I'll be a quiet companion, loyal, loving companion that will lie close to you wherever you are and only seek your attention to go out potty. At my return I will show my gratitude by staring at you with my dreamy eyes so you know how thankful I am to have a family and a place to call home
Arizona Beagle Rescue (AZBR) is a statewide 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer animal welfare organization dedicated to saving homeless beagles through rescue efforts, adoption and education on the breed. AZBR works in cooperation with animal shelters and humane agencies throughout AZ to reduce the euthanasia of adoptable animals by providing foster homes, veterinary services and training for all the beagles in our care. AZBR offers breed specific resources and training referrals to promote lifelong relationships between beagles and their companions.
AZBR operates solely on donations and has no shelter of its own; instead a statewide network of volunteers open their homes and hearts to provide foster care for rescued dogs until qualified, loving forever homes are found.
Come Meet Our Pets...
